4 Years. Not letting my hopes get up anymore. It's all randomized based on the groups that have what they want to test. If it happens, great. If not, meh. Least some of our members got in period.

Don't get too down Gai! I know the wait is painful, but either way it's almost over. I honestly would've offered my spot to you if I could do it and ensure it went to a specific member, but since I was given the opportunity I figured better someone from our guild period than some stranger, as you said.

They are going to try to get the most people that they can in to test before the end, everything I've read claims that. Knowing that I'd say it's just a matter of time. We have about 10 weeks left - that's plenty of time for more Beta invites. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for anyone still waiting. It was awesome, but like I said, beware, having a taste will only make you want to play it that much more if you're a fanboi like me.

The main thing for everyone to remember is that it's completely random now! They don't even want to know nor care about your PC specifications, and they don't care how active you are on the forums.

And if you really think about it, they are very smart to make it completely random. They want Beta test to be a small-scale simulation of what launch would be like, so you want people of all walks of life, very diverse... you wouldn't want just hardcore fans who are on the forums all the time.

Also remember that, like Astral said, before launch it sounds like pretty much everyone will get to play it for at least a little bit! I imagine they will want to do what LOTRO did, and have a "stress test" weekend probably 2-4 weeks away from launch, where pretty much everyone is allowed to log in so they can test how well the servers hold up and how many people they can handle on a server at any one time to determine how many servers to launch the game with.
