Spending Christmas at my dads...

I hope this is posted in the correct thread.

I will be leaving today (12/6/2013) to visit my dad until I return on 1/2/2014. I will attempt to install SWTOR on his PC. He has a nice processor and ram but it has integrated graphics at 256 physical and 256 virtual for a total of 512 Megs total. I don't think this will handle SWTOR even at the lowest of settings.

Good news however is that when I return home, my new PC will be waiting for me. For all my nerd comrades I will list the specs here:   

Processor / Motherboard

Intel Core i5-3570K Quad Core 4 x 3.40GHz with 3.8GHz Turbo Boost / 4 x 256KB L2 cache / Z77 chipset MB: 4 x DDR3 DIMM, Max 32GB

RAM

G.Skill 8GB Ripjaws / 2 x 4GB / DDR3 1600

Video

NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 2GB / PCI Express 3.0 / GDDR3

Rest is pretty standard, if I decide to get a SATA SSD someday I can always upgrade later.

My current system is a Pentium Dual Core 1.8 Ghz / 4 Gig RAM / Geforce 9600 GT 1 Gig 

So I am hoping for a big difference and the ability to finally raid.

 

I will stay in touch on the forums if I can not run SWTOR there. Although I did just have a brainstorm to remove my video card and try to install on my dads PC LOL... IDK yet will see.

I can tell you now SWTOR will kill your Dad's computer. 512 is not enough even for your videocard. Sad :(

Maybe you can get your Dad to play SWTOR.  Not that it will make it any easier for you to play SWTOR at his house :D.
