amazing program. that 12 minute, 60fps video I took of our Story mode TFB level 55 run? It was 32GB when I was done. I used this program and it brought it down to 1GB and I didn't see any loss of quality.

This sounds a lot better than anything I have.

I have used this to convert full HD movies to a file type that I can play on my cell phone. That way when I go on long trips or flights, I can take some entertainment with me. It's a very nice piece of software.

bump.

The 5 videos I took on Thursday night of our boss kills using FRAPs were 150GB. Handbrake condensed them down to 3GB total!!

That's a 98% reduction in size and almost no loss of quality.

re: Handbrake: OpenSource free video compressor, converter, etc.

I wanted to bump this again, just in case it's of use to anyone.

When I logged on my computer today, I was sitting at 160GB free of 586 GB on my hard drive... today, after taking advantage of my snow day and taking some time this morning to finally run my 80 or so videos of SWTOR I've taken through handbrake, I'm now at 508 GB free of 586GB.  That is insane!!!

(many of those videos you've seen uploaded.  I have 10 more to upload today, and the rest are all nostalgic videos I have taken through my characters' class stories as keepsakes )

If you take videos using Fraps, or probably any other video capturing software, handbrake is an essential tool.  No loss of quality, and as you can see it drastically reduces file size!
