So Mat's post about the restoration mod made me realize I forgot people make mods for PC games.
I'm generally a purist when it comes to these things but, I figured I'd ask.
Are there any mods I should probably download for the Mass Effect 1-3 games, or KOTOR 1/KOTOR 2?

From my understanding Bioware tries really really hard to make their games unmoddable. I think I have heard of one or two for the original KOTOR but nothing for any Mass Effect game.

Not sure about those... but if you don't know it yet there are hundreds if not thousands of mods for Skyrim. They can make it an entirely new game, literally.
This is the site I go to:
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/#
They have mods for DA2, FO, FO:NV, The Witcher, etc.
Edit:
Found the list I followed when playing KOTOR:

I found a really good one after I decided to go through Kotor 1 again after 6 years. I had forgotten a huge amount of the story about Raven, HK, etc. and had been wanting to refresh my memory for this game, especially as HK-51 is coming out soon.
What I found was is this huge expansion mod that adds like 9 huge quests to the game on top of the original content. It's called Brotherhood of Shadow: Soloman's Revenge. Looks like it was released in 2009, so the guy must have spent years on it!

Looks like I'm not the only fan. This mod was actually part of a contest. It won mod of the year. It took me 2-3 days of non-stop play just to get through (that's with not skipping all the dialogue, it's just so good).
Best. Mod. Ever.

There was a mod for KoToR 2 that put in a lot of story and quests that Obsidian left out due to time constraints. I don't remember what it was called, but it's not hard to find with a quick google check. As a non-fan of KOTOR 2 I found it a much better game with the mod installed. Actually felt like a reason for playing the game rather than Darth Nihilus isn't much of an actual fight and is extremely easy. Traya on the other hand :/

That would the TSLRCM courtesy of Deadlystream.com. I was a part of that team, though I only did some last minuet voice splicing to help speed things up. It was originally called TLSRP by Team Gizka, but they disbanded, and the folks at Deadlystream took over and continued their work. We also have released a planet that was left out of the game as well called M4-78. Please go there and check it out. It's so different now.
I would recommend however that any mods you have be removed, save for any texture mods, as they may conflict with it. You also HAVE to start a new game and be updated to the latest patch.

Hey, just saw this thread and I've been playing Kotor 1 & 2 as well as the ME series again. I use this site mostly for Kotor mods http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/files/Knights_of_the_Old_Republic/Mods;5214
I forget what mod it is, ultimate mod or something, that takes away the game forcing some beginning stats on you for 1 and 2. I also use a few of the new face skins, robes and saber mods. But those are mostly personal preference and I'd say pick the ones you like. Most have pics.
http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/;73530 Ultimate saber mod for Kotor2 is a good one, but read the description before putting sabers together.
Edit: Also, if you get the bug in 1 or 2 where your character doesn't move, but you can move others in your party, turn on V-sync and that will stop. It bugged me for awhile until I remembered that.
For Mass Effect 3 there are some good texture mods http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/368/index/16260765
http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/368/index/9735492
are both very good and there are others in fan creations.
I also use the MEHEM mod for a couple of my Sheps. It's easy now to install and uninstall if you want to choose something besides destroy.
Also, I can't find it now, but there was a great mod of the of one of the cerb armor sets that made it a blue and silver alliance armor. I look for it again later.
Found it: I use the Spectre version

Hair mods for ME2:
http://www.masseffect2faces.com/index.php?show=tutorials&tutorial=hair
http://www.masseffect2faces.com/index.php?show=tutorials&tutorial=hair_manshep
Also, there are some good faces on there. Not much for ME1, but some faces have pics for the sliders in ME1.
Edit: Guide for modding faces in gibbed http://www.masseffect2faces.com/index.php?show=tutorials&tutorial=mass-effect-modding
You can use both gibbed and TexMod with ME3 as long as you only mod SP stuff.

Oh snap I wish I had found those ME3 mods earlier. The cerberus armor skin is exactly what I wanted
