So, we installed the power supply and video card, and now tor won't even run. It says I have an incompatible system and gives error code 7 and closes.

It would seem I didn't let the video driver install and had to restart the computer and now it is working!

I have my computer set on the highest resolution, the graphics for the game are all on high, in some places I get 30 fps, but I have no lag, faster loading times, and getting bombed by 5 people at once doesn't lag me. I also went into the esseles, just to the section that lags me the worst and no lag at all!
Thank you to every one who helped me decide what to get, and for the explanations I got on installing the power supply!

Wow, nice! My hubby would have killed me if I spent that much! But it is his money, I am sure you are spending your own money.

Now that my hubby has seen what $150 has done for my gaming experience, he now wants me to do the same for his! He wants to get better stuff than I have (of course) so he is not limited to the same prices that I was...
His PC is already better than mine is, but it is still an Asus and has a 400W PSU in it and integrated graphics. His OS is 64 bit and the PC came with 8 MB RAM. His tower is HUGE so as long as he has the correct slot on his MB he can fit anything in it! His processor is an I7.
Hubby's PC Specs
Please tell me what you think he should get for a new video card and power supply.

Hubby's Processor: Intel Core I7-2600CPU @3.40GHz
MB: P8H67-M PRO/CG8350/DP_MB
EDIT: He would like to keep the price below $300 because he is cheap.

He is thinking he would like a GTX 560 or 570, his question is: Could he get something better and cheaper if he used 2 video cards, because he says he is a tightwad!
My question: Is geForce better than Radeon? I think he is as clueless as I am.

No, no no no no no. A single graphics card is much less likely to give you trouble with compatibility and offer no significant improvement over a single, higher performance card

Short answer, no. Ultimately you will get what you pay for. That being said, I have always favored Radeon because a lot of times they undercut the nvidia cards in price just a tad. Again, either one is fine.

So we got the new parts for hubby's PC today, everything seemed great and then it started to overheat. Both the video card and the PSU got way too hot, like a warming plate hot, after maybe 15-30 minutes at the most.
