Yeah, they call that the "Pax Effect". It may someday become the key to interstellar travel. |
Incorrect, according to a copy and paste from Web MD:
Pax Effect
What causes the Pax Effect?
The Pax Effect is a disorder caused by a combination of days without sleep, excess caffeine intake, and specifically going more than 4 hours between blinks. It's known to be brought on by traumatic experiences, amazing feats, a complete loss of sanity, and the launch of major MMORPGs.
What are the symptoms of the Pax Effect?
Symptoms are generally severe cases of insomnia, red eyes, bags under the eyes, unaware increased caffeine based drink intake, and red forehead cause by falling asleep on a keyboard.
Who gets Pax Effect?
The Pax Effect affects mainly males between the ages of 18-40, though several females have complained of symptoms. It was a relatively unknown disorder until the first reported cases a few years ago, though there was a huge spike in known cases on 20 December 2011.
Treatment for Pax Effect?
As of now, there is no known cures or treatments for the Pax Effect, though it may be possible to lesson symptoms by blinking occasionally. Doctors have tried multiple studies to see if not playing computer games will lessen the effects, but have not been able to find anyone suffering from the disorder that would be willing to stop playing.
