Gamestop midnight release?

I just wanted to know if anyone's ever gone to one of gamestop's midnight releases. I'm gonna pick up Koble and we're gonne go to Skyrim's release, and I'd like to know what usually goes on there. I've heard sometimes they get some food and have a party, and other times it's really boring. Have any of you guys had any good experiences there?

Depends on the store, to be honest. I went to a Burning Crusade release night with some friends, and they had "Conjured Water" and "Conjured Mana Muffins" - tiny bottles of spring water and Otis Spunkmeier pastries - and there were some folks in costume. One lady was in her mage gear with a little plush sheep, and she would ask people if they were Horde or Alliance, and if they said "Horde" she would gesture at them and say "Polymorph!" It was mildly entertaining and helped the wait time pass. Nothing mind blowingly awesome, though.

Been to several over the years for WoW expansions... by and large they are pretty boring affairs.

To be honest I'd never go to one for a non-MMO game personally as I only would do midnight release so I can try and get home and get a jump on leveling over the masses.

I only really want to do this for Skyrim since I love Elder Scrolls so much... oh, and I'll do it for SWTOR too.

went to the midnight release of GTA San Andreas, wasn't anything memorable I think they handed out Capri-Sun though haha. Was boring for the most part considering I got there about 10 minutes before midnight

If your lucky they might not even wait till Midnight, that happened to me with Halo: Reach, and ODST

Yeah that's the one. Is that where you pre-ordered it? Cause I'm pretty sure you have to pick it up where you bought it.

yup I go to that one all the time a friend of mine used to be the manager of that store before he moved to the one across the street from St. Rose Hospital.

i wonder do all gamestops do the midnight release thing or just one in larger cities because the town where i get my preorders is very small
