Racial Abilities?

Just wondering if SwTOR will have racial abilities/traits like WoW does.
The only problem I can see is that different class has different playable race, which might make an awkward system where only class can enjoy the racial ability from this certain race.
What do you guys think?

They said in a podcast that they wouldnt but they are still determining if the will or not its undecided

I heard some news on Mos Eisley, Torocast, and DarthHater.
We will never know though, Bioware has this big wall of "crazy", or so it is called that contains potential ideas that they might implement in game.
Guess we might just need to wait and see.

I guess I like the racial abilities in wow. I think they would be useful to some extent, as long as they are not so op that they cause faction, or racial imbalance. Or people choosing a race specifically for min/maxing.

I must be in the minority in that I was glad when I initially heard that there were no racials. People could choose based on the appearance/voice they wanted to hear instead. Development time spent balancing racials and all the whining and crying that accompanies it could be avoided. (I'm looking at you Will of the Forsaken and Every man for themselves)

Isn't that kinda the same in WoW...? I mean every race can't play as every class somewhat. I think they're moderately the same concept.

What racials outside of profession boosts and force user boosts could you have?

I mean like what can any race do thats potentially useful for an MMO outside of natural force talent or a profession boost of some sorts?

I don't think that this should have racial abilities, but if it does, it shouldn't be something major. Rather something very miner that wont OP a char at earliest levels. I think that they all should be the same so that when we are choosing out charachter, we can choose on looks rather than racial attributes :p

yeah, I've heard some rumors floating around on the SWTOR website that there won't be any racial abilities... of course it's yet to be officially confirmed but I think it'd awesome if there were. Miraluka could maybe have enhanced Force abilities or something, for example.
