The main things that drive me to not only contribute and strive for achievement, but to continue to do so by setting new goals and limits, is my spirit of competition and endless quest for optimal results.

My strengths include:
-Dedication
-Trustfulness
-A humourous, friendly attitude that is both serious and mature at the same time
My weaknesses include:
-As with all online test-based communication, sometimes it's difficult to pinpoint someone's motives! Meaning, I may take something seriously that was intended as a joke, and vice-versa
-I always try to leave my personal troubles behind, but as with anyone, once in a blue moon I'll have one of those days where I'm just highly irritable and easily frustrated. I try to handle this situation as maturely as possible usually by logging off the game for a couple of hours and giving myself a break.
What interests and activities do you enjoy spending your time on?:
I live two lives - one as an online gamer with high interest in MMOs such as Rift, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, Age of Conan, Warhammer Online, etc. and the other as an amateur body builder and nutritionist. The time I'm not logged into a game slaying foes and chatting with friends, I'm usually in the gym training myself and others or researching the latest scientific publications regarding the contemporary nutrition and fitness industry as well as helping online clients achieve their goals.
Pax Republica Questions
These questions are aimed at helping us figure out if you're Pax Republica material, so be as detailed as possible.
How did you hear about Pax Republica?:
The main SWTOR website, forums and guild-launch system.
Do you have a tendency to cuss a lot? :
Like most Aussies, I cuss a lot ONLY when I'm around others (usually close friends or family) I'm 100% certain are comfortable with it and usually join in just as a means for humourous banter.
How do you deal with stress and new players?:
A lot of my real-life work has to deal with people who are new to the fitness and nutrition industry who spout false information and myths. Although it does get stressing explaining the same concepts over and over, I remind myself it is in the 'newbies' best interest, take a breath, and usually feel better by the time I've helped them understand.
What are your expectations of the members and leadership of Pax Republica?:
I expect the leaders to be just as fun and involved as the members they recruit. I like a guild that has a friendly player base but also the means to get the job done concerning end-game PvP/PvE - Pax Republica sounds just like that.
What do you believe you can contribute to Pax Republica's community?:
I believe my eagerness to learn, perform, and exceed expectations is going to be a very helpful contribution to the Pax Republica's community. I have a unique attitude that I feel can only benefit the guild in terms of moving forwards.
What was it about Pax Republica that encouraged you to sign up with us, rather than with another guild?:
I enjoyed the seriousness of the guild, displayed by the forum post on the SWTOR website, structure of the website and recruitment process, and language used by the leader(s).
A non-guild member approaches you in game and begins talking smack to you. How do you react?::
I've been in this situation quite a lot considering the experience I've had with MMOs. I quite simply ignore them rather than block them or talk back. Talking back only fuels whatever their motives are for insulting you, and blocking them may be prove to be detrimental in the future if say you're in need of 1 more particular role for a raid, and that person cannot whisper you (who very well could be a good player and fill their role well) to be invited.
You're in Ventrilo playing with other members but one member is being annoying, making silly noises and being obnoxious...what do you do? :
Turn the volume down, take my headphones out, move to another channel, or tell everyone I'm tired and am just going to chill out to some music for a while. If this is one particular member who does this on a consistent basis, I'd approach them outside of the vent channel (perhaps in game or by private message via forums) and voice my concerns in a non-hostile way. If I feel an issue is abroad, I'd contact an Officer and let them handle the situation from there on out.

No. I have been inactive, due to flood waters whilst in a WoW guild before, but they didn't kick me in hopes I would come back!

Welcome to your trial process for Pax Republica! During this trial you will have 7 days, starting 3/11/2011 and ending 3/18/2011, to complete seven tasks as part of Trial Phase 1. Trial Phase 2 will consist of another 7 days in which, if you haven't done so already, you must complete the eighth and ninth task and take the time to see how well you fit into our community. Voting will take place toward the middle of Phase 2.
As you undergo these tasks, you will not only complete the steps necessary to become a fully functioning member of Pax, you'll also learn if Pax is the guild you actually want to join.
At the end of this trial your application will be re-evaluated for the final decision. Do not hesitate to send me a private message, email, or MSN message with any questions or concerns. Here are your tasks:
Phase 1
1. You must make 15 posts in our forums (note: please keep your posts meaningful). Done

Although I have not had a chance to talk with you I just want to say nice work on your trial, Snugglebums. Only two more posts to go until you complete phase one! However that doesn’t mean you have to stop there. Don’t be a stranger, ok?

Hey, thanks for the kind words. I definitely am not going to be disappearing anytime soon, I quite like these forums - fast pace and very relevant to my interests. Lets just say I most certainly have not been forcing myself to post here by any means.

Sorry bud, but I'm gonna have to say no because you haven't finished the trial requirements. Really, thirty posts over two weeks isn't too much to ask, I think. We have people standing in line to get in, and I don't feel we should pass anyone who doesn't have the dedication to make at least the minimum effort to be here. Either get the minimum effort in and finish the trial requirements or feel free to try again when you feel you can give it a decent effort.

Hey guys, it's still the 25th here, not sure why you're saying I have to post more. I was working during the day and was planning on finishing up my post count tonight (only 4 left to go, got home at 6pm, it's 8pm now - not difficult at all given the amount of interesting thread on these forums). I've only been posting where I feel I can contribute to the thread. If you don't feel I've put in enough, I respect your decision.
I haven't given up on the trial, though.
