"Through the Veil" PBP Sign-up Thread All Classes

[Clusterfact]

The seers at the Jedi temple on Tython have sensed a dark energy coming from an unexplored region of space. A small strike team of Jedi has been assembled to find the source of the energy, which is suspected by the High Council to be a holocron featuring secret knowledge once owned by the Sith. The team will be lead by Mathias Jerrick, a Consular and historian specializing in Sith history and arheology.

The High Council has already sent word to Coruscant asking for the aid of Republic soldiers, and the request for guns has even been extended to some of the Republic's more illicit members. Together with the Jedi, those who accept the offer must retrieve whatever the source of the energy is, or destroy it so that it may not fall into the wrong hands.

Time is of the essence.

For this PBP, TheRobb and myself are recruiting 12 members from any class. We will leave the signing open for a few days or until we have enough members signed up. Personality: Tries his best to be helpful, and share what he does know, but he tends to be ignorant in some respects. Has the manner of a gentleman, and tries to fight with honor and respect. He respects those who have earned it, but that doesn't mean he is easily swayed, deterred, or slayed.

Physical Description: Muscled, but not huge. Facial hair on his fairly young face, which surprisingly lacks scars, though he has already seen multiple battles. Atka is soon developing the stone hard look of a professional soldier.


Brief Bio: Born on Corellia, but had a split childhood on both his home planet and Mandalore. He grew up with many views of the galaxies, and he and his brothers all went to join in the Republic Military. A quick learner, Atka had to strive to be the best to keep up with his smuggler uncles.
Update: On a recent mission Atka had lost his left arm. A new replacement has been made, a military type A-17 Bio-prosthetic. It links to his body and provides a possibly better advantage on the battlefield. He can activate/deactivate micro sensors that allow him to "feel" with that arm. Atka is a determined and ready foe, with his experience and knowledge building with every battle.

Biography / Starting Story: He was a son of a moisture farmer. He had to learn how to shoot young, since Tatooine is crawling with things that want to kill you. He excelled at shooting and at 12 years old, made his first modified blaster gun. He continued to make guns and sell them, untill at the age of 20 his family was killed and the farm burned by Trandoshian slavers. At that point he went and joined the Republic Army. He got out of Tatooine by tricking a Hutt, whom he later killed under orders of the Republic.

Biography / Starting Story(Optional, provide Link if its long): Short: Was taken from his home on Zhota III as a young child to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. He was a Knight during the attack on Coruscant and helped lead many people to safety. It was in the aftermath of that attack on Republic soil that the organization Pax Republica was born amongst the ruins. He has gone on several missions to date with the group and is eager to continue to do so.

Well the thing is we have two planned Sith characters in this story, who both have to do rather specific things. It would also not make much sense for another Sith to be included in the story.
But feel free to join as a good guy.
