re: Tech: place to download old versions of apps on old iPhone?

So a friend (thank you, you know who you are :)) just gave me an old iphone 4 since I'm still waiting to get my actual phone back. Problem is, it can only get up to iOS 7.1.2. When I tried to download a bunch of apps, like, simple things like Google Chrome, ESPN, etc. it would tell me I needed iOS 8 or iOS9. I always knew Apple was money hungry but that's crazy! You can't even use an old phone so they try to get you onto the new phone.
Anyway, enough of my rant (I dislike Apple very much), is there a place I can get older versions of apps like Google Chrome, MyFitnessPal, etc.?

Unfortunately not. Most apps have server-side requirements and those systems get updated and replaced periodically, so even with the old software, they most likely wont work.
