It's already known he isn't Kylo Ren (cross saber guy, played by Adam Driver)

I feel like it would be pretty disappointing if they made Luke turn to the dark side. Also what Gluefoot said.

There's no way Luke is the main villain in this movie. We have seen pictures of Kylo Ren without the helmet on and he's Adam Driver. I think something has happened that has driven look into hiding. From what I have read, he has a smaller role in this movie but will have a bigger role in the next movies.
Also, Luke is someone that EVERYONE grew up loving. Making him a bad guy all of a sudden...that would really piss off a lot of people. Luke was my favorite Star Wars character. His journey and ability to resist the pull to the Dark Side in RotJ were such a huge thing. I know in the EU he turns...but that's no longer canon. I just don't want to see him as a bad guy...as much as I think Hamill could pull it off.
