Hello Zojen,

Welcome to our forums, and thanks for applying!  I think it's great your a computer engineer, I started as that but found a more suitable (aka easier) career path for myself! 

I'm curious.  You say you read our "Please read before applying" information, and that says you shouldn't apply if you're in a guild, but you did apply anyway.  Why is that?  I'm genuinely curious, because you're not the only person who applies to us even though they are in a guild, even though we specifically ask people not to do that.

We know that Valor is a PvP guild on this server, and we don't want any accusations of poaching or anything like that.  We avoid drama at all costs.  That is why we ask people not to apply to us if they are currently in a guild.

Thanks for the response! Well, I understood "...You can not join us if you're in another Republic guild." as you can't be in two guilds on Republic side, which makes sense for the community driven guild NAX points at. To be more specific, I applied and gave details about my current guild status since you asked "If so, which guild, and which faction?" Implying that you can apply knowing that you won't be able to stay on both guilds. Otherwise, at least in my logic, this question wouldn't exist.

I was honest about my current guild status because you asked and that's the way I go, I could have said nothing and just /gquit when I logged back into the game later. I don't consider myself a member of it since it was just a convenience for faster leveling at level 1 (last week) and nobody even knows me.

I'm sorry for the confusion that this may have caused. I hope this won't be a problem!

Hey there, I lke that you are being honest :) Nwahs is correct when saying you can't be in another guild when you apply, you say they don't know you and that it was just to join as a leveling guild until you found one you really wanted to join?  If that is the case and going off where you did explain the truth in the beginning, I believe all you would have to do is go ahead and make sure none of your characters  are in any republic guilds than come back to update your app with us or a simple post here in your comment stating that you are no longer in any guild :)

Welcome to your trial process for Pax Republica! Let's get started:

During this welcoming period you will have 14 days to complete some tasks that will acclimate you into the guild and help you decide if we are the right guild for you!

Then, there will be three days for guild members to vote on whether or not they believe you should be allowed to join.  Virtually no one gets voted no... usually by then someone that doesn't fit in has already been asked to end their trials.

(If you need your Trial to be extended a couple of days due to a trip, or a serious emergency, etc., please contact an Admin and be sure to let them know when you'll be back.)

If you have any questions during any phase of your trials, a lot of helpful information can be found HERE.

Please post in your thread whenever you complete a task.

Here are your tasks:

Complete √ 1. Update your profile here at Pax Republica with a forum Avatar. ***NOTE***- Your avatar cannot be one of the generic default avatars that GuildLaunch gives you. It should be something unique so that it's easier to associate your name with some kind of image, this allows us to get to know you better.

Complete √2. Make an introductory post in your specified class forum provided below. Please use it as a chance to introduce yourself to the family, as this is a more permanent area for people to get to know you (your own "personal area" on the forums, if you will) than your application thread.

Complete √3. Either your Guild Launch user name should be your "main" character name in SWTOR, or you should link your main character to your GL account. Here's how to do the latter:

•  Go to User Profile (Your name) at the top right of the forums.
•  Under Characters tab, go to Add Character, make sure you choose ToR for your game and The Galactic Republic as your faction. Create the name as your main character's name in SWTOR!
•  Now that your character has been created, go to the Sites tab under User Profile.
•  Under Forum Posting As Settings select your character and click Set Character to Post As.
•  Finished!

Complete √4. Go over our Charter (our Rules and Regulations document) and be sure to post that you accept it. Please read it carefully BEFORE accepting. Click here.

5. Log on to SWTOR and whisper anyone of rank Justicar or above with your in-game name so we can add you to the guild. For a list of our rank structure and names of officers, please Click here.

6. Arrange and interview with an officer. The interview with be conducted in Teamspeak. The interview gives you the chance to meet with an officer and ask any questions you may have regarding your membership in the guild, and they will take the opportunity to get to know you better.

For a complete list of officers you can approach for an interview, Click here. It is YOUR responsibility to post in your trials thread that you need an interview and to let officers know what your schedule is so that they can offer to help you... or you can PM an officer to schedule your interview before Phase 1 is over. Please don't leave this until the last minute.

7. Group with Pax Republica members to complete 3 guild "missions". You must be in Teamspeak during these missions. A single mission is either:

1. Two GSF battles
2. One Flashpoints
3. Two Warzones
4. Half a PvE Raid (In other words, one raid attendance counts as two of these "missions")
5. 30-45minutes of any other in-game activity (questing, etc.)

(Note: It is up to you to post here the different "missions" you completed and who was in the group(s).) The point of this step is to get in groups with Pax members to get to know them, and for them to get to know you!

8. Members will have 3 days to vote on whether you have passed or failed as a member, so sit back and relax!

While you wait to pass your trials, you should check out the entire forums if you haven't already.  If you're a raider, be sure to read all the PvE forums - raiding guidelines, DPS parses, etc.  You should post in the PvE forums a thread saying you're interested in raiding with your time availability, current gear level, class, talent spec, how many datacrons you've collected, if you have companion bonuses, etc. Same thing with PvP or GSF... post in those forums with similar information if you're interested!

This is also a time you can ask around about how to join our Pax Republica Facebook Group and our Pax Republica GroupMe Channels.

Hey, thanks for the honesty!

I see your logic, except your logic assumes all applicants actually read the rules as they say they do, which is not true.  That question often tells us people that are in guilds and don't realize they are not supposed to apply when they are in a guild :)

You can post here telling people when you are available... easiest way though is to just be online a lot and ask an officer in Teamspeak when you see them! There is generally at least one online every night!

I've been playing quite a lot on mid-level battlegrounds, I'm not rushing into 60 (currently 58) as I'm still trying to grasp the best I can the concept of scoundrel healing before hitting max level. I did play a few WZs with Émms a couple of days ago and expect to group much more with guild members as soon as 60 happens as I already have all my tokens for ranked PvP gear.

Hello Nwahs!

I was about to ask for a couple more days of time. I have not asked anyone yet to interview me, somehow time passed faster than expected.

I have played sporadic pvp games with some guildmates but I haven't really tracked them as I wasn't in TS at the time as stated in the tasks. I have received a lot of help with my gameplay in the forums and in guildchat, which have made my transition to max level a lot easier.

It's been hard for me to play with gmates mostly because I just reached lvl 60 last Wednesday and it has been a very busy week for me, to be honest I have very little spare time and I have made a real effort into achieving the weekly conquest goal 2/3 in my stay.

I wanted to come yesterday to the guild meeting but I wasn't feeling so good at noon and missed the latter because I miscalculated my time against the calendar (I'm still not sure about it).

So, in summary I would like to ask for a couple more days of trial extension if possible! I'm having a great time with Pax and I don't want to mess this up!!
