Welcome. I get to be the first and unfortunately do the critic run on this.

 

Okay. First off, you are asked to read the brief "How to Join" thread which clearly indicates you must not be in another Republic guild. The application also says with 100% clarity that you must not be in another Republic guild. Seeing as you are still in one despite that being clear in both places... (someone finish my thought). That includes any alts you have. NO toons in other Republic Guilds.

Second, your app is very very short in its answers.

Just to inform you, we are not a zerg/leveling guild. We are a progression guild. Especially PvE.

 

Others will be by to check your app and see if it is good enough. Others will be by to ask questions.

 

My question is: With whom did you run a FP with?

I only have 1 toon, i read that part but didn't understand it. I figured if you want me to begin trials or start membership process I will leave my current guild, if you reject my application, I will stay with them

  I think a community of people who are serious about SWTOR, I have been playing since the beginning, but finally got back into it and have my character at a good point. I plan to be pretty active all the way up till the next launch in October and then obviously well after that. I think this guild will be able to help me and my character in the game a lot, I think I will in turn be able to provide a lot back to the guild by being on in game regularly and active in other capacities. My current guild is a bit too casual for my liking so a guild with more serious, and experienced players is a big draw for me.

Well you're fortunate to have found Pax. We are serious about SWTOR as well. You sound like someone that will fit right in.

By "progression guild" (someone correct me if I get it wrong), I mean we do the Story Mode difficulty of the new Operations and when we are at the point where we can complete one of them in an hour, we move on to the Hard Mode difficulty of the same Ops.

Many of us in Pax have been playing since Early Access ourselves.

 

When you say you only have one toon, do you mean "one period", or just one on Republic side?

  yes, one character period.... so assuming I am accepted and allowed to start trials with you guys, it will take all of five seconds for me to leave that guild in order to join with you guys.

I was pretty excited when i was referred by Garranaw (character name)...it sounded like a perfect fit. The progression of story mode operations seems like a great thing I would definitely enjoy being a part of

Welcome to your trial process for Pax Republica! Let's get started:

During this welcoming period you will have 14 days to complete some tasks that will acclimate you into the guild and help you decide if we are the right guild for you!

Then, there will be three days for guild members to vote on whether or not they believe you should be allowed to join.  Virtually no one gets voted no... usually by then someone that doesn't fit in has already been asked to end their trials.

(If you need your Trial to be extended a couple of days due to a trip, or a serious emergency, etc., please contact an Admin and be sure to let them know when you'll be back.)

If you have any questions during any phase of your trials, a lot of helpful information can be found HERE.

Here are your tasks:

Complete √ 1. Update your profile here at Pax Republica with a forum Avatar. ***NOTE***- Your avatar cannot be one of the generic default avatars that GuildLaunch gives you. It should be something unique so that it's easier to associate your name with some kind of image, this allows us to get to know you better.

2. Make an introductory post in your specified class forum provided below. Please use it as a chance to introduce yourself to the family, as this is a more permanent area for people to get to know you (your own "personal area" on the forums, if you will) than your application thread.

Complete √ 3. Either your Guild Launch user name should be your "main" character name in SWTOR, or you should link your main character to your GL account. Here's how to do the latter:

•  Go to User Profile (Your name) at the top right of the forums.
•  Under Characters tab, go to Add Character, make sure you choose ToR for your game and The Galactic Republic as your faction. Create the name as your main character's name in SWTOR!
•  Now that your character has been created, go to the Sites tab under User Profile.
•  Under Forum Posting As Settings select your character and click Set Character to Post As.
•  Finished!

4. Go over our Charter (our Rules and Regulations document) and be sure to post that you accept it. Please read it carefully BEFORE accepting. Click here.

5. Log on to SWTOR and whisper anyone of rank Justicar or above with your in-game name so we can add you to the guild. For a list of our rank structure and names of officers, please Click here.

6. Arrange and interview with an officer. The interview with be conducted in Teamspeak. The interview gives you the chance to meet with an officer and ask any questions you may have regarding your membership in the guild, and they will take the opportunity to get to know you better.

For a complete list of officers you can approach for an interview, Click here. It is YOUR responsibility to post in your trials thread that you need an interview and to let officers know what your schedule is so that they can offer to help you... or you can PM an officer to schedule your interview before Phase 1 is over. Please don't leave this until the last minute.

7. Group with Pax Republica members to complete 3 guild "missions". You must be in Teamspeak during these missions. A single mission is either:

1. Two GSF battles
2. Two Flashpoints
3. Two Warzones
4. Half a PvE Raid (In other words, one raid attendance counts as two of these "missions")
5. An hour of any other in-game activity (questing, etc.)

(Note: It is up to you to post here the different "missions" you completed and who was in the group(s).) The point of this step is to get in groups with Pax members to get to know them, and for them to get to know you!

8. Members will have 3 days to vote on whether you have passed or failed as a member, so sit back and relax!

While you wait to pass your trials, you should check out the entire forums if you haven't already.  If you're a raider, be sure to read all the PvE forums - raiding guidelines, DPS parses, etc.  You should post in the PvE forums a thread saying you're interested in raiding with your time availability, current gear level, class, talent spec, how many datacrons you've collected, if you have companion bonuses, etc. Same thing with PvP or GSF... post in those forums with similar information if you're interested!

This is also a time you can ask around about how to join our Pax Republica Facebook Group and our Pax Republica GroupMe Channels.

I think you might be the first person I've interacted with that has only one toon.

 

Why only one toon/class?

Have you tried the others classes?

What spec have you enjoyed the most?

What made you go Sentinel instead of Guardian?

What made you go Knight instead of any other Class?

Why are my questions getting longer as I add them to this post?

 Why only one toon/class?

I really just like it for a quasi-role playing experience, my idealized character is exactly the one i have developed, so i don't see a need to develop any others

Have you tried the others classes?

Yes, bounty hunter but i deleted it, was around level 11-15 i forget exactly

What spec have you enjoyed the most?

I have only specialized as a DPS sentinel in the concentration tree, may re-spec if someone can explain a better way to go

What made you go Sentinel instead of Guardian?

Dual lightsabers, my toon had to have the dual sabers 

What made you go Knight instead of any other Class?

Basically the same answer as 1, i developed the character in my minds eye a year or so ahead of the original release

and for 7 I did approximately half a raid (though struggled because it was my first) still we cleared it, it was with Jemms and Gryffon...definitely around an hour of game time

Heya Savion!

It was good getting to RAID with ya last night. I think it said a lot about your character sticking it out (as well as the rest of the team members). I actually caused one of those wipes. I was focusing hard on my DPS and didn't recognize that I wasn't looking at the underlurker's back instead of his head. I dunno if it's my eyesight is getting that bad or if he was THAT ugly. From now on I am focusing on his elbows hehe.
