As much as I love Roman history (my focus in university) I cannot with good conscience vote anything but Justicar. For some reason it screams awesome to me thinking of the Justicars from Mass Effect. :P

I believe all our ranks are derived from the Romans with the possible exception of Arbiter so keeping the trend going I voted for centurion but praetorian could work too

Just remember, I named the ranks when we made Pax :P Legionairre was actually made to represent the term Legion: Meaning the many. As there were to be many of us, not to derrive directly from Roman meaning. And Peacekeeper has no connection to the Roman ranks. Marshal was once Spectre, and has a general military representation. ^_^ Throwing it out there lol.

I was going to vote for Commodore, because it's Star Wars, but now I think how our organization within Star Wars has a sort of Star Wars-Roman influence, we are called Pax Republica after all, and Centurion just seems to fit well for the purpose of the rank.

Consul was coined by the Romans and to my knowledge was never used by anyone after they left the republic stage of their history. Just throwing it out there...oh and until this point I always thought Gaiautus Baltar was from a game but is it from battlestar galactica?

Consul was also used by the French. Coined by Romans, used by others. And I took the name Gaius *roman* and turned it into Gaiutus around the time of Diablo 1 and 2. After seeing Gaiutus Baltar from BSG I took the last name for my own lol.
