New name for the guild?

Next question in our changing process... do we change our guild's name to reflect something more generic for what we are going for as a mulit-gaming guild, or stick to our brand as Pax Republica, or Peace to the Republic.

We do have a bit of a Roman Republic theme to us the way our ranks are set up, and I like that a lot.  That could still be our brand in any game we play in really.

Also, if we changed that, we'd have to pay for a new URL.

 

My vote would be no, we don't change things, but I wanted to hear people's opinion on it.

I suggested in the survey that we should consider a more generic name. As you've mentioned we have a general theme of Keepers of the Peace. So I think having a generic name that reflects that then each chapter can have a guild name that aligns with that theme.

There's no reason we can't use the same name on WoW and other games. Keep it the same.

No, I vote that there is no change.  We are who we were.  We've gone by one name for 9 years, and we will remain that way for another 9 years.

People know us as Pax Republica, and heck, some may recognize us from SWTOR in other games!

 OK, 7 years.  That's pretty close though.  My point was, the guild has been around for awhile now.

I agree and vote no. It would be hard to find a universal guild name that will work across multiple games/platforms. We are making a name for ourselves as Pax Republica. I say we keep it as is.
