Well you're awesome. Here's where you post your profile!

For every PBP storyline after this, we will be utilizing the same Profile thread, rather than making a new one each time.

Each time a new story is launched, a new synopsis will be posted outlining the current plot. Current Story:

"Finders Keepers - 09/07/2011"

Republic citizens begin to disappear while travelling in the Y'Toub system, and Pax Republica goes in to investigate, sending out a number of teams.

Whilst on this mission, one of the teams waylays a Black Sun convoy rumoured to be smuggling more than just goods. While they find no sign of the missing people, they do find a Sith Artifact amongst objects being shipped.

Efforts to bring the item back to PR are squashed when the team is left stranded on Nal Hutta due to sabotage that occurred during the theft.

Now, Black Sun has put a hit out on the Pax members and through intel channels, Reign and Kajidic are made aware of the missing Sith artifact. Meanwhile the other Pax Republica teams must race to Nal Hutta and retrieve not only their comrades but also the artifact. All the while Kajidic and Reign have hatched their own plans to retrieve the artifact and strike a blow to Pax Republica.

((As for timeline, you can assume this is all occurring somewhere within a year prior to gs (gamestart).))

Biography / Starting Story:
Nolan's Parents, Zarek and Keesha, were senior members of the Jedi Order's diplomatic core who were killed in the sacking of Coruscant. Luckily their young son had been sent away from the intensity of republic politics to the outpost on Tython. Having lived there since long before it became the location of the new Jedi Temple, and having been present at the time of the temples' construction, Nolan is intimately aware of many of the planet's deepest secrets.
After the death of his parents Nolan withdrew from the world and into meditation for a full three years from the ages of 13 to 16, leaving his chambers at the temple-in-construction only to go to classes and meals. Though he has become more engaged with the world since, he is still marked with the calm reserve of a deeply introspective personality.
Beyond his duties as a member of the Jedi Order the sole passion he allows himself is spaceflight, on the grounds that an excellent navigational and tactical sense make be critical in combating the machinations of the Sith. In the end though, Nolan keeps much to himself, with his true perspective and thoughts being unknown even to his closest friends and superiors within the Jedi Order...

Biography / Starting Story: Tim grew up as a son of a smuggler. His father wanted nothing more than for his son to continue the line that had been in the family for generations. However, Tim went and became a doctor at 17 years. He established a clinic and was doing well. He though helping people was his only happiness after his family died during a shuttle crash. Then, one night, a couple of scoundrels barged into his clinic, and gunned down most of the people there. They started pressuring Tim for credits. He gave them about half what he had at the moment and went to by a blaster as soon as they left. When they returned the next day, it was them who were gunned down. Soon afterward Tim had to run because those were men of one of the Hutts. Tim spent his last credits for a shuttle to Corusant, where he enlisted into the Republic Army. Provided he was a doctor for a short while, he was given special training. He had managed to pay the Hutt off, to make sure there were no attempts on his life made. Now he is a proud member of Pax Republica.

Body Appearance: A medium build with wide shoulders. Has visible scars on back and head. One of the most visible is over his left eye near his hair line. The scar seems to be made from stray blaster fire or an all too close call with a lightsaber. (Rumors but nothing confirmed) Has an eye patch on his right eye (to cover up something or for his own self image. No one really knows and he doesn't talk about it, either way he never takes it off)

Personality:
Talks too much and with an overactive imagination, he finds himself wandering into his own delusion. Though he learned as a child to never lie (doesn't stop him from telling the occasional white lie to buy time or to get out of bad places) that has become his most honorable yet shameful habits being a smuggler. At the same time he tells so many grandiose stories about other "legendary smugglers" that it is commonly thought he is always lying. Only those close to him are aware of his truthful nature.

Tends to wander in his own mind thinking of grand adventures. Completely oblivious to his own talents he is somewhat humble in his own way. He would rather run from a fight than to get caught in a squabble but when he does get caught in a firefight, he is a dead eye shot and always aims for the head (claiming they could become zombies).

Often forgetful and silly, he can change his tone and attitude in a moments notice if he gets angry, often provoking fights and brawls once upset. When he calms down, he claims everything went black and says he doesn't remember anything, close friends and associates claim he is well in control of his actions and the "blacking out is an act" though most are unsure due to his honest nature. During tense situations Riddly becomes serious and holds a tone that tends to surprise the people around him (in these situation he tends to reflect his mother's stern tone and serious nature).

Somewhat indecisive he always carries a lucky coin that he got from his mother. He flips the coin when unsure and follows the choice to a T. He says to hold people at arms length but always ends up becoming too trusting of people. On more than a few occasions hes found himself under a barrel and the only thing that saves him is the element that places him in these situations. The people he trusts always end up coming back. Sometimes only to watch him die, but he uses this to his advantage and uses his persuasion to fall blame on the person. All the while, escaping while everyone is focused on the betrayer. But just as often the people who put him there end up rescuing him. Out of guilt, curiosity of the "Tell no lie Smuggler" or they feel he would be a good pawn in their chess game.

He never knew his father and assumed he abandoned them and only had his mother to raise him. Over time the cantina's patrons and the smugglers' stories they held became his father, Teaching him how to lie, cheat and steal. His mother never agreed in these ideals that he kept in his head. So she did her best to instil a sense or morality to counter the negative influences in his life. He carries a doppy tone and with a sense of morality inbeded.

Biography / Starting Story:
Was born and raised on Tattooine. Due to boredom and a serious lack of attention span, he found himself wandering into cantinas. Listening to smuggler stories being told. Imagining himself in these situations and always becoming the hero who also happens to get the girl. Of course, all the stories he heard were glorified and nothing like the real events but no one bothered to try to explain that to him. He grew up with the fantasy that he would one day become the thing he admired the most. A Smuggler.

Growing up no one took an interest in teaching how to defend himself. So he took it upon him self to study brawls and fistfights that would commonly happen in the cantinas he frequented. Though his skills for the blaster came from an incident almost took his life. A bounty hunter looking for his prey took Riddly hostage and forced the smuggler he was searching for out of hiding.

The Smuggler known as Ald Rand. I was tempted to leave the child but understood that if he let the boy die his reputation, would be killed with him. But underneath that cold idea he knew he wouldn't be able to deal with himself if he let a child die for his own selfish reasons. Even smugglers have a sense of honor. Ald tossed a noise maker across the room to make a distraction and while the bounty hunter was turned Ald shot him in the back of the head. Ald checked if Riddly was alright. He already understood that Riddly was fanatical to the idea of being a smuggler and this would only reinforce the idea. So he gave him the bounty hunter's blaster and told him "You can't survive just on quick wits or a smart mouth, you'll need this" and he hands him the blaster. Soon after he discovered that Ald Rand was killed by another bounty hunter. Due to his own negligence, Ald was weaponless when he was killed. Riddly took this as a lesson and never lets his weapons out of his sight.

His mother didn't like the idea of her child running around with a blaster but realistically understood this was a haven for smugglers, bounty hunters, crooks and beasts. So she taught him how to use the weapon. She was once herself a soldier. But once she discovered she was pregnant with Riddly, she went AWOL and escaped to Tattooine. On multiple occasions he asked if she was involved in the current war in some way but she hesitated and avoided the question. The reasons why she went AWOL are still something he questions and wonders to this day.

Eventually he found himself someone gullible enough to let him be part of their crew. After discovering that he was only being used as a pawn in a game that would have ended in his death. He escaped with their ship and wandered his way toward Ord Mantell. Currently being hunted by those same people and bounty hunters. They haven't realize yet is that he has an almost un-natural talent at shooting pistols. Along with his overactive imagination that's he's acquired over countless stories he's heard; He's got a way of thinking outside the box that boggles and confuses most. Through time and luck these talents became invaluable to him and his survival. Eventually through a series of events he finds his way into the group called Pax Republica. Sworn Protectors of the Republic. He joins under the idea of having a place he could be protected. After time the Headquarters and the members become his home and his friends.

Alignment: Neutral/Good. He's very much "rough around the edges" because of his Iridonian heritage.
Personality: Alkhet is a driven, deliberate individual. He has a hard time dealing with compromises and he would rather see negotiations end in a stalemate than settle for less. He is often seen as bull-headed by people who do not know him as well. He can be blunt to a fault.
Biography / Starting Story:

Alkhet was taken as a child from Iridonia after being discovered as a force sensitive. His father, Bekk Noth, was against the idea, whereas his mother, Umara, felt that the training of the Jedi would not only protect their child from the encroaching Sith, but also give him the opportunity to fight back later as a more powerful adversary. Bekk decided to keep Alkhet on Iridonia to be trained in the traditional Zabrak fasion as a warrior to help fight back the invaders. Only days after Alkhet was discovered, Umara Noth died suddenly due to one of her hearts failing on her. Bekk reluctantly agreed to have the child sent away, but only with the promise that his son would receive the martial training of a Zabrak in addition to his Jedi training.

A Jedi's training isn't all physical and Alkhet was no different. Though he favored the saber and Zabrak combat and was a talented fighter, Alhket took great pleasure in debating the philosophy of the Jedi and taking the traditional way of understanding how the Force works to a new level by introducing his theory of Force Conductivity: the idea that the Force does not “blanket” all of life, but rather that the Force exists on a separate plane where it permeates into the plane that known life exists on. Force-sensitives would be strong conduits of the Force, though the Force has many points of mass-permeability. Like-wise, the Force could have many dead-zones strewn throughout the galaxy.

Alkhet's views were the main inspiration for the development of his Force abilities. Alkhet strongly believed that using the Force to manipulate others, especially those who could not wield the Force, was wrong. As such, he reserved these powers (Force push, Force persuade, etc.) for dire situations and preferred to use the Force to bolster his own natural talents. Some of his more common abilities are Force run and a hyper sense of awareness, which he is able to slip into and out of easily.

Biography / Starting Story: Kidnapped at birth and raised by the masked man Intrus to be a fearsome Sith, he encountered a childhood friend named Kara before the Sacking. She was a Jedi, and the two fell in love, despite his notoriety amongst the Republic. He planned to leave the life of a Sith behind, but Intrus learned and killed her. Since them, he has devoted himself to killing Intrus.

Biography / Starting Story: Zakaryia, or Zak, was born on Tatooine. Zakaryia never knew his parents, and was taught everything he knows now by his master, Raven Moria. She was a powerful Jedi Consular who believed that the Empire would soon return. She felt tremors in the force and taught her apprentice to be ready, as she learned secret Sith double-bladed lightsaber tactics, for the ascending war. As he became closer to his master, Zakaryia was feeling the pull of the dark side and almost turned, if it wasn't for a tragic event. A secret mission from the top of the Jedi Order, that not even the Chancellor knew about, Master Moria and her apprentice headed to a distant planet in the outer rim to hunt down what they believed to be as one of the last of the Sith. As both of them fought bravely, Moria was slain by Darth Galax and killed viciously. As Zakaryia murdered the Sith, he swore to track down and kill every Sith left. As war broke out, Zakaryia started to track down every Sith with his double-bladed lightsaber. Now, the war continues, and he still hunts down the Sith to this very day, only answering to the highest of the Jedi Order...

Biography / Starting Story: Found in a back doorway of The Hutt's Tail, a cantina in the center of the Red Sector of Nirama's public asteroid. Abandoned by an unknown woman for unknown reasons that would someday come to truth for Finx. The bartender Garnt co-raised Finx with the help of the several Twi'lek slaves. Grew up as an expert gambler and drink mixocologist. Left his home in the back of the cantina at the age of 18 to pursue the truth of his parents but as he grew older interest faded away. Made credits with criminal activity but only for the good of the poor, etc. (Think Robin Hood)
Known across the Galaxy by cantina dancers (intimately) and bartenders (smuggling business) , making a living as a smuggler.

Personality: Stubborn, somewhat defensive. She tends to push aside her own issues to help others, sometimes to her detriment. Highly intelligent and analytical, but with that, has some difficulty in dealing with emotional problems, her own and those of others.

Biography / Starting Story:
Born on Esseles, she was one of 12 children, all from the same father, but three different mothers. At the age of 10 much of her family was killed when the hydro electric dam the research town was built in the shadow of fell victim of suspected sabotage. As one of the older children, Aveyn already had an extensive education in mathematics, chemistry and biology from not only her father and step-mother, who were a physicist and a biologist, but from the numerous other researchers that worked in the tight knit community. This particular day she was collecting plant specimens from one of the control areas at the base of the dam, searching for the lichens that grew on the cliffs. As such, when the dam burst she was caught up in the resulting flood, nearly drowning until her older brother (the eldest of the children), managed to 'hear' her calling for help and saved her.

After waking from unconsciousness some days later, she would find that only her brother Torin, herself, and one of her younger sisters, Ailis had survived from her family, and in total, only 46 of the 298 community members had lived. Ailis, only 4 at the time, had lost her fraternal twin in the flood, and from that day forth, would not speak. Finding her brother downstairs in the damaged first floor, she would find him speaking to a pair of men in robes, one a dignified and kindly looking lethan twi'lek, the other a young human.

All three of the remaining children would learn they possessed an affinity with the Force, and for Torin and Aveyn, it explained her timely rescue, as well as the Jedi's finding of Ailis, further down stream. They would all be offered training, but at the age of 17, Torin decided instead to stay and help the community and continue with the medical research being done. Later, with the town rebuilt above the dam site, Torin would become the head researcher in the community, marry and have three children (to date) of his own.

Aveyn and Ailis however would go with the two, Master Rens'acen (Rensa Cen in Standard) and Andan Detries, his previous padawan. Aveyn would receive teaching and training from Rensa, while Ailis trained at the temple for some time due to her age. At the age of 20, Aveyn became a full Knight, returning to do more extensive training in the Halls of Healing at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant for two years before returning to work with Rensa once again. Andan was declared exile the year she became a knight, and would disappear.

One year after the 'Peace' agreement, Aveyn found herself and Master Rens'acen prisoners of war when a recon mission went afoul. The subsequent interrogation and torture took it's toll on both of the Jedi, but doubly so on Rens'acen, still in some disconnect after the loss of Andan. He would die after thirty-two days in confinement, a heap in the cage across from her, one lekku brutally severed from his head.

Aveyn, already weak and distraught, feigned her own death, slowing down her heart and quite nearly stopping her breathing for minutes at a time. Heat was sequestered into her core, leaving the surface of her skin cold to touch. What oxygenated blood she had was pushed towards keeping vital organs, while the wounds on her body stopped scabbing, and the blood seemed to coagulate.

After being dumped in a refuse with her master, she took some time, weeks even, before she was able to regain a proper metabolic rate in her body. Even to this day, she suffers from nerve damage in her extremities, something she has been attempting to fix, ongoing. Yet since nerve cells do not naturally go through mitosis the way others do, such a process has taken much time and effort on her part, and full recovery is likely still years away, if even possible.

She was found and rescued by PR, and re-united with them.

Biography / Starting Story: Crox was born a slave in the pens of Nar Shaddaa. He was stripped from his mother earlier than his earliest memories and was made to serve drinks to the guests of Gemmro the Hutt as soon as he was old enough to carry a tray without spilling. Several of the serving girls and dancers took a liking to the little blue boy and he was not unhappy in the beginning. The Twi'lek women in Gemmro's "employ" taught Crox to use his head tendrils to communicate simple Lekku-speak, and they would share secrets and jokes with the boy and confound their Gamorean taskmaster with their veiled laughter.

In time it became apparent to Gemmro that his young slave had an uncanny ability to read the thoughts and emotions of others. Being suspicious and superstitious about force users, he sold the boy for a hefty sum, claiming he was an adept. When the boy's new Hutt master Barro realized that he was not in fact a force user, he was furious with Gemmro and Crox alike. Barro took Crox and a contingent of mercenaries dressed as honor guards to a summit banquet with Gemmro, intending to wipe out his rival's entire house in a surprise attack.

Crox, who was no adept but was in fact gifted at detecting and interpreting the pheromones of others, sensed his new master's intent and feared for his friends in Gemmro's palace. As soon as the dancers entered the banquet hall to perform, he caught their eyes and spoke furiously in lekku to warn them. The crafty slaves were able to slip away before the violence began, and in the chaos they managed to slay Barro while his attention was focused on Gemmro. Gemmro was mortally wounded as well, and with the palace in disarray Crox and his friends were able to escape with enough treasure in tow to begin a new life in the galaxy.

While the other slaves made their way back to their respective homeworlds or made new lives for themselves elsewhere, Crox instead devoted himself to the cause of freeing as many slaves as he could. His short time with Barro had removed any illusions he held from his childhood and the taste of freedom was sweet. At the age of nineteen he was hired on by a smuggler known as Finx, and between Crox's knack for reading others and Finx's own cunning and quick pistol work the two made a profitable team.

Once Crox had learned the ins and outs of smuggling cargo and put back enough scratch, he parted ways with his friend Finx and bought his own ship. He then set about reuniting slaves with their families. Those who could pay paid well. For those who could not, Crox would fund the missions himself. Payment has ever been a means to an end, the freeing of more slaves.

Crox has crossed paths and teamed up with Finx from time to time, as well as the scoundrel Markus Thatch. For a time he had a partner in the Twi'lek Shan'in, a slave dancer at The Putrescent Hutt cantina who he freed. She was enamored of the brave Nautolan gunman who had come to her rescue, but Crox's own feelings were muddied by the more parental affection he had known from the Twi'lek women who had raised him. They parted ways awkwardly as Shan'in returned to her family on Coruscant. Crox wears a silver ring on his right pinky as a memento, and if one were to ask Finx about him, the old crook would say that his Nautolan friend and sometime-partner is quieter these days than he remembers.

Lately the clients who are unable to pay have outnumbered those with ready coin, and Crox has had to turn back to real smuggling to fund his lifelong campaign.
