re: Chapter 1: Servitude

As Arvis stabilized Saina's wounds he felt all energy draining from him, when she stood up he rushed behind cover once again, drawing his lightsaber and activating the yellow hilt, he was tired but he could go on, at least a while, he called out to Tychus.

"Sergeant, blow that Sith scum to hell with the heavy weapons and get some people to snipe the heads of them."

As Saina heard Arvis give his order to Tychus, she turned around and looked to an injured trooper. She started the healing process and focused on only one thought stopping the sith. Focusing on something else often helped her when she healed someone. Saina really didn't need it but it was a easy way to concentrate. She looked behind her shoulder, they were thinning out, she knew someone must be coming, but who. Saina told the trooper with her kind and warm voice that he must fight for his people. The young trooper stood up and ran to help the rest of the task force, Saina followed him to reflect some blaster bolts.

re: Chapter 1: Servitude

Holding the line, Tychus constantly had to reload batteries since he had his rifle on max power. The two heavy turrets still operational did not falter and any shock troops attempting to charge our lines were cut down. A corporal coming from the HQ was carrying two repeating blasters and gave one to Tychus. The fight was intense and could only grow before there was a victor. A smuggler to the right was hit and Tychus left the blaster there to take him to Saina and the medics. Dropping him off, he could see Arvis standing over cover deflecting blaster bolts and immediately rushed back to his post to see another sergeant had taken over the repeating blaster. Once again his somewhat heirloom rifle was his weapon of death, but how much longer would it be before he was doing the dying?

"Why dont they answer?" Aldin thought to himself. "Can anyone hear me? Please respond! Is anyone even alive over there?" he said into the comlink. he quickly did a check on his weapons, the two pistols, his rifle, and grenades, and headed in the direction of the smoke.

While Zabac was hunkered down under a rock reloading his slugthrower a voice blared over his comm Can anyone hear me Loud and clear sorry i cant talk right now but im got some sith to kill right now. Some assistance would be great. With his weapon reloaded Zabac popped up from under the rock and unleashed a torrent of blaster fire. He glanced over at Seraya who was cooly picking off droids with her rifle. I just love that clanking noise they make when they fall she said and shot another droid. No matter how many droids Zabac, Hk-50 and Seraya shot they just kept coming. They couldnt hold out forever

"All right" Aux said, "Would you mind coming to pick me up? My leg got crushed in the crash." "Yes sir" Drann said as he walked over gently picked Aux up and sat him down on the back of the speeder. He kicked the speeder into high gear and sped back to camp, as he rode he checked his datapad and saw at least 5 messages telling him there was a battle under way "this would get intresting after all" Drann thought. As he put away the data pad he saw the camp getting closer on the horizon he sped right through the gates and pulled up to the command center, "all right this is your stop jedi"

"Roger that. Im on my way hang on." Aldin said as he made his way to the battle site. As he got there, he dismounted his speeder, just in time to. A Missile flew right by, crashing into the speeder and destroying it. "Yes! Finally, something to shoot at!" He said as he took cover by a rock and drew his rifle. He aimed at a single droid, since it was away from the rest. He squeezed the trigger and the droid dropped. Then he continued to fire at the main force.

Zabac glanced at the trooper who had answered his call for help. However a volley of blaster fire forced him to duck dive behind a large rock. Signaling his crew to cover him, Zabac made a mad dash for a nearby foxhole contaning another trooper and a droid. We cant win this fire fight he said to the trooper either we charge them or retreat

The battle was underway as Pax used its rolling barrage tactic which helped make up for thier numbers as they slowly advanced into the Sith's flank. If they could collapse this one flank, hopefully the Sith would have no choice but to retreat and regroup thier ranks.

Numbers were beginning to show thier superiority as soon as Pax advanced farther into the bulk of the Sith. Blaster fire was shot like rain out of the sky, the small craters were useful but at this point it was getting harder and harder to advance.

To win this battle or at least make a stalemate, a coordinated attack would have to be made from both Pax and the Republic Troopers on the other side.

Seiryuu picked up his radio and tried to signal the Republic troops. Bits and pieces coule be heard but it came harder to hear as the battle continues to go on.

"We are here at your aid, do you come in please respond." Seiryuu repeated over the radio.

re: Chapter 1: Servitude

With a swift and well practised hand Aveyn had looked over Azno's shrapnel injuries after he joined the group, coercing the muscle and epidermal cells into a faster regeneration cycle. She warned him to keep bandages on, the wounds would scab quickly, but take longer yet to heal.

She rejoined the others as the offensive push began, and throughout, stayed within the core of the group, her ten years of practice enabling her to perform minor healing while on the move. It started slowly, a few stray blaster hits, mostly minor injuries, easily fixable...

Yet the further into the thick they went, the further into the Force she plunged herself, leveling her heart-rate and boosting her adrenaline. Beside her, a trooper staggered as they moved from one crater into another, and she instinctively grabbed his arm as he fell, heaving him up again with the help of another person. Together they dragged him into the next crater where the group seemed to be stuck for the moment, giving the healer a chance to better inspect the man.

It was bad...and she had known it even before she looked at him, even as they had dragged him to safety. As she had clung to his arm she had felt the life ebbing out of him rapidly, falling through her fingers like silt. Even now, hands on his chest she watched his sticky bright red blood seep out as she slowed the flow, knowing full well that without a transfusion he would never be able to recreate enough blood to replace what he had just lost. For a force user, even an inexperienced one , the ability to convince the blood to clot faster was nearly innate. It was one of the first things healers learnt to do in speed and detail. Yet here, on the field, internal bleeding on a non sensitive was a near to death sentence without quick interference. His celadon eyes locked onto her gray ones, widening with panicked fear as they interpreted the hard look they found. He shuddered under her hands as his body went into shock from lack of oxygenated blood, stopping after what felt like an eternity to her, as it always did.
Neither time nor experience would ever shake her of that feeling.

With a gentleness that could not be read on her face she closed his staring eyes, their vibrant colour already dimming. She felt others eyes upon her as she did, and looked up to catch those of Master Balthar. There was something in his expression that made her uncomfortable, reminding her far too much of her old master. Awkwardly she looked away, quickly washing her hands with some water from her hip flask silently.

"We are here at your aid, do you come in please respond." He looked at his comlink. It came agian.
" You heard that Sorful? We need to go."
"Let me just grab some weapons." he answered
"Ask:Do you need help from me, master?"
"Yes, and the thing I need help with, is the spaceship to be repaired."
"Answer: Of course, master."

He and Sorful ran to the underground garage and took one speeder each and began to drive.
"South is our target."

After a little while he and Sorful arrived. They saw the army and ran after. Sorful stopped and aimed and shot. He ran ran after "Seiryuu, we are here!"

Arvis heard the com-chatter: "We are here at your aid, do you come in please respond."

He replied, breathing heavily because his wounds were hurting him.
"The is Arvis Falconer of the jedi order and Lieutenant of the Republic military. We are pinned down by a large number of Sith troops, we can't hold out much longer, I repeat we can't hold out much longer. "

It was sort of hard to hear him over the noise of the blasters, but Aldin managed to yell " Do you have any backup on the way? If not, we gotta retreat!" He was still taking cover behind the rock, and the droids increased their fire on his posistion. "Hey! Give me some cover fire! Ill move to your position!" Aldin yelled to the other troops in the foxhole.

Xevdrin nodded to her in thanks and continue to tend to Anzo's remaining injuries. "The battle looks to be almost on top of us Master, are you in any shape for combat?"

re: Chapter 1: Servitude

Max was fighting alongside Pax. They hadn't advanced that much, and now the Sith were raining hell at them. The Sith greatly outnumbered the Republic, and victory looked like an unrealistic dream at this point.

However, Max was still calm and focused. He was leaning against a rock, a blaster in his hand. He was scanning the battle, and spotted some movement on the ground, about 50 feet away from him. Something was moving in the long grass.

As soon as Max saw the movement, whatever was moving stopped. Could this be a camouflaged Sith?, he thought to himself.

Max steadied his blaster. If he were to shoot that Sith, he would give away his position. He was hiding about 100 feet from the main battle. Gaiutus had told him to sneak behind enemy lines and report to him any new information about the enemy's forces.

I'm going to shoot, Max thought to him as he aimed at the Sith. Just as he was about to pull the trigger on his blaster, the Sith crawling through the grass shot at him. Max quickly ducked.

He leaned against the side of the rock and shot at the Sith.

It missed.

The Sith shot again, but missed Max.

Max jumped out from behind the rock, and threw a flash grenade. It exploded in the long grass.

Max sprinted towards the Sith and found him lying unconscious. Max dragged him back to the rock.

He waited for a minute for the Sith to get up. Max took away all of the Sith's weapons. The Sith slowly opened his eyes. His hands quickly reached into his blaster-case to find a gun, but it was empty. He turned around and came face-to-face with Max's blaster.

"Who are you? Max growled at the Sith.

The Sith didn't speak. He closed his eyes and turned around, so that the gun was facing his back.

"Who are you? Max asked him again. "If you don't answer me, I will shoot you."

The Sith quickly swung around, and punched Max's jaw. Max's gun flew away. The Sith jumped on him and tried to punch him again, but Max dodged.

Everything became blurry, as Max pictured his move. He was in a major adrenaline rush. He felt like he wasn't in control of his body anymore.

The Sith punched again, but Max blocked it. He countered by delivering a blow on the Sith's jaw. The Sith punched again, but Max dodged to the left, and punched his left cheek. Max spread his arms out, and slapped the Sith on the head with both hands to discombobulate him. The Sith was now dazed and blindly swung his arm at Max. Max blocked it and countered again with a punch at his jaw. As his fist met the Sith's jaw, his jaw made an extremely loud cracking sound. The Sith was now so dazed, he couldn't make a move. Max finished him off by jumping in the air and swinging his leg. His foot hit the Sith's ribs, and the Sith flew back and fell to the ground.

In summary, ears ringing, jaw fractured, two ribs cracked, three broken. The Sith wasn't going to get up from that.

Max walked away from the Sith and picked up his blaster. He walked back towards the Sith, and aimed his blaster at his enemy's face. "I too, was an Imperial Agent at one time. Working for the Sith only leads to death and sorrow. Max pulled the trigger.
