re: Anyone need a gaming tower?

So, I have my old gaming tower to sell if anyone needs an upgrade.  Here are the specs and pictures:

I'd help a guildie out with a good deal if it was a nice gaming upgrade.

Mmm, the only thing that really stands out in your kit is the Processor.

Hell, you've got a 650ti graphics - how the hell did you manage to run SWTOR??

Why does everyone hate on the 650ti?  I ran SWTOR with almost the highest settings, just no shadows, and it ran awesome.

re: Anyone need a gaming tower?

You don't even need "TI" cards to run it on max settings minus shadows. It ran max on my 240GT, it runs max on my 730GT, swtor is CPU intensive not GPU. Any graphic card can run it today on max minus shadows. And probably any other card made in 2010+ because Swtor does not have good graphics. Most of its elements were used in games created in 2002. Processor is what makes this game asking for a monster PC to run pvp and ops, because the game itself is not optimized well at all.

re: Anyone need a gaming tower?

Heck I ran it just fine on my 2005 MacBook Pro.

most MMO's don't fully take advantage of a GPU anyway.  Most the graphics are still run on the CPU.  you might say why? Well allowing lower spec machines to run your game means a larger target market who can run your game so.. MMO's will never require high end hardware unlike FPS or stand alone RPG's.
