With all the nice Star wars game out now on current gen PC/console... what's the chance we'll see a sequel to Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy? The greatest Lightsaber simulator ever????

Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.
BOOM
I'd like to see one, but the hype is all multiplayer now, so I don't see it happening anytime soon.

?
So many things wrong with your post buddy :P
A. Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy was Jedi Outcast 3, so your reference to Outcast 2 makes no sense
B. Academy was multiplayer, I feel like this would be a major multiplayer game in current gen people would love it

Boss, Kayllek is right. There is only one Jedi Outcast, and that's Jedi Knight II game. Jedi Academy was Jedi Knight III, Outcast 3 doesn't exist (Kayle Katarn is member of Jedi order and teaches students, he is no longer an Outcast). Outcast and Academy are both single player and multiplayer games. Academy cloned Outcast and then added twin saber and staff saber weapons, thus the original best lightsaber simulator is Outcast, not Academy. Both games are still alive today, so a Jedi Knight IV would definitely be a success if it would follow the formula of its predecessors (Outcast formula and lightsaber simulator just like Academy followed it) and if it would further improve the gameplay and graphic with today's technology. I think that a game like that, if ever made, would be capable of challenging KOTOR for the first spot on the list of best made star wars games of all time.

No, Jedi Academy was Jedi Knight 3. Jedi Outcast was Jedi Knight 2. Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 was the first in the Jedi Knight series (despite it being the sequel to Dark Forces).
I'd like to see an updated version of Dark Forces and Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2. But, I would like for the physics to act the same as the original because it's just fun and unique (Force Speed into a wall hurts you (or kills you if done right), or Force Jump in a small room hurts you, even punching droids hurts you. Nobody does that anymore!).
Someone was working on something like that in their spare time, but it pretty much fell through. Not enough support, time, etc.

I really hope another Jedi Knight game comes out. I loved those games so much.
